Believe it or not, it’s not as easy as you might think to get a good Alaska seafood dinner in our town, especially if you don’t want to spend your entire vacation fund. Some of the best, and certainly the freshest, Alaska seafood you’ll have the chance to eat can be found at local B&B’s, lodges, and resorts, including here at Kenai Riverfront. Each week we throw a “Saturday Salmon Bake”, potluck style, for our guests, family, and friends. If you’re staying with us over a weekend, be sure to pencil this into your schedule. You can also experiment with some cooking of your own on gas grills we provide for our guests, or even the campfire for that natural wood smoke flavor which brings out a great flavor in fresh Alaska salmon.

Opening its doors in 2014 with a brand new building on a newly developed site sitting above the Kenai River flats off K-Beach road, The Flats Bistro offers a modern, eclectic dining experience featuring creative culinary inventions by owners Luke & Naomi Thibodeau, ranging from the simplicity of a homemade-style “build your own burger” to classic pasta like Scampi and Fettuccini and meat dishes to appetizers like brussel sprouts, beets or dates that you won’t find on other local menus. Looking for something new & different? Try the Flats! One of the best “date night” locations around with live music some evenings.
Mykel’s Restaurant – Soldotna – 907-262-4305 – Steak & Seafood
Long-established, part of the Soldotna Inn, a motel like structure located on the Kenai Spur Hwy just a few blocks west of the “Y”. Known for wine tastings, an extensive menu, and a downstairs banquet room. No view, but good food, prepared fancy–like most big ticket places.
Louie’s Restaurant – Kenai – 907-283-3360 – Classic Steak & Seafood $$$$$
Clubby, old, and more famous for steaks and prime rib than seafood, but the most “formal” fine dining you can find in Kenai town.
Fat Olives – Homer – 907-235-8488 – Contemporary Pizza & Italian with Seafood $$$$$
About the most modern fine dining restaurant in Homer, not fancy per se, but modern…you’ll see what we mean if you go. From the 28″ gourmet pizza to excellent pepper steak (I’ve heard) and a wide variety of fancy salads and seafood, this is worth a peak in Homer.
