Fishing the Kenai River for the first time in his life along with his Dad Steve, Lucas landed his first two Kenai River Sockeye Salmon in very little time. Taking the advice of TJ & CJ, he tied up one of their krill flies and quickly learned the famous “Kenai Flip”. CJ was there to net his first salmon, a nice hen, followed shortly by a big buck — lunkers in the world of fishing and a great prize for a new Alaska fishing fan. His Dad watched proudly as he handled the fish like a pro, videoing this first time experience to share with family no doubt. We captured a couple nice photos as well…congrats Lucas, job well done! How you had the energy to go for a 10 mile run afterwards is beyond me…but I’m glad you didn’t get too lost on the way back! No secrets in our neighborhood! 🙂
