Hailing from Hugo, Minnesota, first time Alaska visitors Joe & Melissa, still looking like honeymooners after 2 years since marrying, celebrated their first salmon success on our shore….and we celebrated with them like it was our first too!  Melissa struck salmon first, with this nice Red, but in her short walk to the camper and back to settle her excitement, Joe caught this nice Kenai River Rainbow!  It didn’t take long till the salmon started piling up, with Melissa catching her limit on day 2 while Joe was out on a King Salmon charter.  I think they’re hooked…on each other AND Alaska! No catch & release here!
